Message From The Co-Ordinator
Mr.Salim Abdulla Al-Wahaibi
I'm overjoyed to know that this amazing website now exists, specially
made by and for the youth. I feel that this website will certainly give
viewers a great insight and understanding of the Omani students in
Pune, and will highlight the progress of these students', their services
and their future roles in international affairs. I'm sure that this website
will also bring about greater love and unity among the people closest to my
heart Omanis and Indians.
Always on my mind is the thought that one day soon, God willing ,
I will retrun to my beloved country to continue rendering my services to His
Majesty the Sultan Of Oman,may God always bless and protect him.
A brief introduction : My name is Salim Abdullah Hamood Al-waheibi.
I first camee to India in Aug-1995, graduated with a BA from Ferguson
College by 1999. I'm currently doing my 2nd year MA in Economics.
Among other blessings, I count my work the greatest. I serve under the
Embassy of Oman as the Co-ordinator of all Omani Students'Affairs for the
State of Maharashtra.In other words ,from the time a student of Oman enters India,
till the time he settles down, gets admission and is able to move around on his own,
he or she
is my special guest . No exceptions. Long live the brotherhood of man!
I view with pride the strong relations and great friendship between my country and India ,
which go back to over a hundred years. This comradeship now lives in links of trade and
education between our two countries.These links of love serve to bridge the spaces between
our beautiful cultures and languages. I look forward to ever-closer
ties and greater friendship between our two great nations.
